Ex whom accused Tonya Craft rescued from being sued by their kids

Tonya Craft is a previous kindergarten teacher from Chickamauga, Tenn., who was charged of child molestation in a trial closely covered in national news. She was absolved of all charges, however the ordeal segued into a high profile custody battle for her children. Rather than keeping the ex lover on a list of her accusers being prosecuted for $25 million, Craft removed both him and his wife in a personal effort to work out child custody. Tonya Craft litigation to understand

Tonya Craft was acquitted in Might of 22 counts of child molestation. But in a two-year lawful battle, she lost her job, her house and racked up legal bills approaching $500,000. She also ended up losing her kids. They were separated. Tonya Craft’s supporters called the trial a "witch hunt.". The judge and the prosecutors are accused of conspiring for a Tonya Craft conviction. This is by bloggers following the Craft trial. Cato-at-liberty.org reported that the judge sitting on the case represented Tonya Craft’s husband in their divorce. The judge's recusal was something defense attorneys filed for although he wouldn't stop. The prosecutor was responsible for making the case very public. Facebook was used to post comments on the case status including witness's comments.

Henke getting more than warranted from Tonya Craft

The custody battle was resolved in a private meeting between Tonya Craft and Joal Henke after years of custody issues. They ended up deciding to share custody of kids in the meeting. Craft also came out saying the $25 million federal civil suit will no longer contain Henke and his wife. The lawsuit will still be filed against all who charged her of sex abuse. This includes parents of kids, police officers, prosecutors and the school district that employed her.

Tonya Craft finds ways to forgive

Aiden, Tonya Craft's daughter, was one of the children who charged Craft of child molestation. The Tonya Craft trial did not have confessions from Aiden. She never said she was molested by her mother. But prosecutors insisted the child corroborated testimony of 2 of her friends — testimony documented as inconsistent — that Craft touched them inappropriately. Craft and her daughter have healed their relationship, she said on the "Today" show Monday. She said it is "as if nothing ever happened" with the trial. Going to law school to help others wrongly charged is the next plan Craft has.
