Arresting David Cassidy for drunk driving

Former star of “The Partridge Family” TV series and teen idol David Cassidy was recently arrested. He was suspected of driving under the influence when he was pulled over. CBS reports that he was supposedly swerving via lanes causing the FL Highway Patrol officer to pull him over. He failed a field sobriety test he took. He had to take two Breathalyzer tests also. 0.139 and 0.141 were the blood alcohol he had as outlined by the tests. The arresting officer within the David Cassidy DUI also found a half empty bottle of bourbon within the Mercedes he was driving. He’s certainly no Paris Hilton, but the evidence does not seem to lean Cassidy’s way.

Cassidy tries to get away with admitting to just a little bit

A funeral had been where Cassidy says he had been. He also says that with his midday meal, he had a glass of wine. He also admitted that he took one hydrocodone afterward. The only alcohol Cassidy will admit to was his one glass of wine. He says no other alcohol went into his system before he was arrested Wednesday. He had been able to pay bail in order to be released. November 4 he went home after paying $350. Cassidy was a well known teen pop star. This was after he played Keith Partridge in "The Partridge Family" series though. Other previous child stars have had their own battles with the bottle, as “Partridge Family” co-star Danny Bonaduce had his own high profile struggles.

Fighting in court

The representatives of David Cassidy say he will fight the charges. If he were convicted, he wouldn't be the first child start to end up with substance abuse difficulties.
