Frozen vegetables recalled over glass in peas

Frozen veggies recalled over glass in peas

A frozen vegetable recall has been announced by the producer. The packages in question contain frozen peas, and some with mixed vegetables. Shards of glass have been found in some of their peas. The recall isn’t incredibly enormous, yet. It appears the issue had been with only one lot of frozen vegetables. Not many packages contain them. There are only four different packs that contain the contaminated peas. The bundles are carried by Kroger stores within the South, and nationally by Wal-Mart. Ever found glass as part of your frozen vegetables before?

Much of the frozen food had glass in it. Only one manufacturer had been responsible for this. In Bells, Tenn., there is a company called Pictsweet. This is the business that supplied the freezing veggies to at least two chains. The business sells frozen vegetables to Kroger stores in the southeast and to Wal-Mart stores nationwide, based on CNN. Glass was found in five of the frozen veggies bundles before the business made the recall announcement. The grievances the business received were because of shards of glass, mostly in either packages of peas or in other assortments that include peas. One single lot of freezing vegetables had the problem with the glass as far as we can tell. So far, no injuries are reported from issues related to the recall.
