Toyota Motors recall of yet another million vehicles

There is another Toyota recall that has been announced, or rather, three separate recalls at the very same time. It will be surprising if a month goes by without a Toyota Motors recall. There are more than 1.5 million automobiles in this recall. The fuel pump or master brake cylinder might be defective within the main recall of over 1.3 million cars. Normally, a Toyota Motors recall likes to do it big, but the second recall is for a pitiful 130,000 automobiles with rusty brake drums.

Toyota Motors recalling again

Toyota has announced yet another recall. In the whole world, about 1.53 million cars will be recalled. There’s a defect within the brakes. This is just suspected though. The models impacted, based on ABC, are the Toyota Motors Highlander, Avalon and the Lexus GS300, IS250 and IS350. There might be a defect within the master brake cylinder. This would be within the seal. The master cylinder seal can potentially crack, which can lead to brake fluid leaking. The leak in brake fluid can lead to a warning light and a possible loss in brake pressure. There are 740,000 vehicles in the United States impacted by the brake cylinder recall. The possible leak has not lead to any accidents.

Toyota recalling in other cases too

Toyota is also recalling 130,000 cars in China because of a defect in the rear wheel disk brakes, which can possibly rust. Besides the recall of the 740,000 cars within the United States, Toyota is also recalling almost 600,000 autos in Japan over possible defects within the fuel pump. The problem with the fuel pump is that there is an electric fault. This means the vehicle might stall from time to time. That defect is so far only thought to be in automobiles in Japan, according to the new York Times. The Crown model, which the U.S. does not sell, is where most of the fuel pump issues are coming from

What if my auto is being recalled?

Owners can be getting notified via Toyota. The model years 2004 to 2005 are the ones within the recall. This has not been a good year for Toyota Motors. The car maker continues to be raked over the coals for recalls, though recalls by auto makers are often preventative.
